Book Before Bedtime

Pyjamas on, cuddly toys ready! Children return to school in the evening for a magical storytime. Teachers share favourite books and even put on their own special performances.

World Book Day & Book Week

We celebrate our love of reading with exciting activities, book characters, stories, dressing up and plenty of opportunities to share our favourite books.

Book Fairs & Author Visits

During Book Week, two book fairs are run to help us raise money for our school while encouraging a lifelong love of reading. Last year, we enjoyed an author visit from Jeanne Wills (author of Bog Baby) to inspire our children through stories and creativity.

World Poetry Week

Children explore the wonderful world of poetry through reading, performing and creating their own poems through a poetry competition that is run every year.

Pantomime Visits

Every year, we enjoy special performances at Christmas time that bring stories, music and laughter to life.

International Week

We celebrate the many cultures, traditions and experiences that make our school community so special.

Children enjoy cultural workshops, new foods, traditional clothing, creative activities and opportunities to learn about life around the world.

Our Family Fun Evening brings everyone together to take part in workshops and activities.

Black History Month

We learn about and celebrate the achievements, contributions and experiences of Black people throughout history and today.

Celebrating National & Global Events

We also come together as a whole school to celebrate significant national occasions. Memories have included a whole-school breakfast for the Queen's Jubilee and a tea party for the King's Coronation.

Learning takes many different forms at our school. Our enrichment experiences encourage children to be curious, creative and confident learners.

Therapy Dog

Our special four-legged visitor Luna, brings smiles, comfort and excitement when she comes to school.

Toddler Group

Our Tuesday morning Toddler Group provides a welcoming space for our youngest children and their grown-ups to play, explore and become part of our school community.

School Parliament

Our children have opportunities to share their ideas, have their voices heard and contribute to our school community in their half termly meetings with Mr D'Souza.

Eco Stars

Our Eco Stars help us think about how we can look after our school and our planet. They take part in activities such as litter picking in our local area and saving energy around our school.

We believe enrichment should be exciting and enjoyable. Our children have regular opportunities to discover new hobbies and develop new skills.

School Gardening

Our children enjoy planting, growing and caring for our school garden while learning about nature and the environment.

Green Fingers

Our Reception children enjoy getting hands-on with gardening and discovering the magic of growing in our local park.

One Tree Day

We get outside and learn about the importance of trees and caring for our natural world and raise money for the charity by wearing green.

Animal Encounter 

Year 2 children have the opportunity to take part in a hands on experience meeting different animals linked to their science topic. 

Local Area Walks

We explore our local community, developing our understanding of the world around us.
